Jason and Lauren Braitsch are not only the owners of this neighborhood Italian deli, they are also residents of the neighborhood. They moved into the Spring Garden section of Nutley a little over a year ago and knew it needed a great local eatery. Their goal is to create a cozy neighborhood feel with great food, and outstanding service. Jason, pays attention to the littlest details, making sure only the best and freshest ingredients are used. ABOUT THE NAME:

Pictured is Benedict “Barry” Vilardo, the namesake for Vilardo’s deli. Besides being a dedicated husband to Antoinette, an amazing father to four children, and the perfect grandfather to six grandchildren, Barry had an immense passion for the proper picking, carving, and distribution of the best meats during his days as a butcher. His deli, “Barry’s Market” in North Arlington was renowned for its tender meats, friendly service, and neighborhood feel. That reputation, coupled with Barry’s good looks and contagious personality, made up of wit, extreme knowledge, kindness, and humbleness, served as the inspiration for the birth of Vilardo’s Deli. We aim to provide you the best foods, great prices, and affable personalities to create that neighborhood feeling where our customers always come first and leave happy. Vilardo’s will attempt to emulate Barry’s Market in every aspect, but with an added touch of modernity.
